Beware of hot weather, let's take care of your little one to stay healthy..

    Hello Hermina Friends, The hot weather that is currently happening, not only disrupts your little one's activities, but also causes various potential illnesses that can attack your little one. Let's be wary of hot weather.

Heat Diseases That Need to Watch Out for Your Little One:

1. Dehydration, heatstroke and skin irritation characterized by fatigue, dry skin and cloudy urine color.

2. One sided headache (Migraine) due to exposure to hot sun or exposure to excessive pollution.

3. Heat due to hot weather conditions and exacerbated by improper food intake, such as fried or spicy foods.

4. High fever due to sun exposure, causing body temperature to increase. If you don't get treatment, it will be dangerous and damage the brain and vital organs in our body.

Symptoms that your little one should watch out for in hot weather:

1. Excessive sweating

2. Skin feels hot and dry

3. A feeling of pounding or a feeling that the heart is beating faster

4. The skin looks pale

5. Cramps in the legs and abdomen

6. Nausea, vomiting, dizziness

7. Urine is scanty and dark yellow

How to Protect Your Little One From Hot Weather:

1. Prevent dehydration by drinking lots of water. Don't wait to be thirsty

2. Avoid contact with direct sunlight, use a hat or umbrella

3. Wear clothes that are light and loose

4. Avoid using dark clothes so as not to absorb heat

5. As much as possible take shelter between 11 am – 3 pm

6. Use a minimum of 30 SPF sunscreen on skin that is not covered by clothes before leaving the house
