Vaccination for workers in industrial areas is expected to help accelerate the recovery of the national economy, said PT Surya Rengo Containers HRD Frans Rumokov. Vaccination for employees is also expected to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in industrial areas, factories, and other productive areas, so that productivity in this sector can increase again.

"This vaccination for industrial employees is expected to accelerate economic recovery efforts," he said when interviewed during the employee vaccination activity of PT Surya Rengo Containers, in collaboration with Hermina Hospital, on Jalan Raya Semarang-Demak last weekend.

PT Surya Rengo Containers is part of the PT Indofood company, which produces various food packaging from PT Indofood. Seeing the importance of this industrial sector for the community, factory operational activities continue to be carried out under the implementation of strict health protocols. Employees are required to continue working in factories, but are vulnerable to contracting the corona virus while working. Therefore, this vaccination is expected to prevent massive transmission of COVID-19.

Hermina Hospital Medical Services Manager Dr. Widyawati said that the main purpose of vaccination during a pandemic like today is to create community immunity. In addition, vaccination is also expected to reduce transmission rates, reduce morbidity and mortality due to COVID-19. A total of 72 employees were vaccinated, with nine medical teams from Hermina Hospital.

Before being vaccinated, there are several stages that employees go through. The first stage is data collection or registration, followed by a screening test, after that the vaccination process. After being vaccinated, employees were asked to wait for 30 minutes to see if there were any post-vaccination symptoms.

“The vaccinations for these employees went smoothly. Hopefully, we can anticipate the transmission of the virus in industrial areas," he concluded.
